Foremost Transport Requirements

One of Foremost Transport's biggest priorities is to keep our drivers safe, profitable, and citation-free. This dedication to our drivers is why we set each of our requirements. The requirements we establish and follow are based on what our safety experts have observed both over time and recently and address specific cases of incidents, accidents, and citations.

  1. I would like to know about the pay and if this is a 12 month employment.

  2. Like nearly all transporters, pay is figured per loaded mile with half being paid up front and the remainder paid at load finalization (when paperwork is received in the settlement office via fax, email, smartphone, mail, or simply dropped off). Pay rates vary based on the national average price of diesel fuel and the best way to get current rates would be to call our recruiting line at 866-764-1601.

Like all RV transporters, we see a dip in the number of loads available in the fall and early winter months as the manufacturers gear up for the next years model. While work is available, the amount of work is minimal compared to the number of units available in the late winter-summer months. We do contract with drivers year-round.

  3. I have a 2012 Toyota Tundra with a 4.6L V8--it's rated towing capacity is 6,800 lbs. Do you have smaller loads that need towing?

  4. All of our towing requires your truck be able to tow at least 7,000 lbs. Ideally we would like to see 3/4 to 1 ton's and larger.

  6. I have a 2002 GMC Sierra 2500HD with just the receiver hitch (12,200 lb limit), no fifth wheel or goose-neck. Would there be enough bumper pull trailers to keep me busy?
